What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and the address we are delivering to. If you subscribe to updates we store your email address and the fact that you agreed.

If you create an account we also store a password, kept only as a scrambled version that cannot be turned back into your password, and the date you signed up. While you are signed in we store a random session code in a cookie on your device. That cookie is required for the site to know you are signed in; it does no tracking and is not shared with anyone.

If you take part in the rewards, we keep a record of which items you bought and when, so we can count toward your free one. That record is tied to your account.

What we do with it

We use it to bake and hand over your order, and to email you about that order. If you subscribed to updates, we use your address for those too.

If you have an account, we use your order records to show you your history and to work out your rewards. We do not use any of it to build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other websites.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach this website. We never see, store, or have access to your card number.

Who else sees it

Nobody, other than the services needed to run the bakery: Stripe for payment and our email provider for sending you order updates. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for the period set in our records policy, currently about seven years, because they are business records. You can ask us to remove information we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in any email. You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by getting in touch.

You do not need an account to order. An account is optional, and you can ask us to close yours at any time. Closing an account removes your password and sign-in details. Your past orders are kept, because they are business records, but they are no longer tied to a login.

Cookies

We use two cookies, both necessary for the site to work, and no advertising or analytics cookies. One remembers what is in your basket so it survives a page reload. The other keeps you signed in, and only exists if you have an account and are signed in.
